I broke up with my girlfriend and it was the right decision...
I finally ended things with my girlfriend, and I know for a fact it was the right call. (If you’ve seen my older posts, you know the backstory)
I sent my ex one last message, everything I actually wanted to tell her in person, but since she had been ignoring me, I had no choice. After that last message, she just wrote that she’d pick up her stuff the same day and then she blocked me.
And just like that, my first wlw relationship is over after two months. Looking back, I realize we were just too different in so many ways. Maybe there wasn't enough love to keep trying, or maybe we shouldn't have jumped into a relationship after only one month. We simply didn't take enough time to truly get to know each other.
Regardless, I’m not really sad about it. Honestly, I suffered way more while we were together than I am now. I’m already long past the grieving phase; all that’s left is neutral acceptance.
To all the girls (and anyone else) in a similar situation: don’t cling to a relationship where you constantly feel drained or unloved. If the bad times outweigh the good, it’s just not worth it. Don’t let yourself be ignored -there are no excuses like "I don’t have time" A relationship is work, always. You make time, otherwise, you should just stay single.
I’m not giving up. I’ve gained vital experience and learned a lot about myself. Next time, I’ll be more careful, patient, and intentional. Right now, I’m just enjoying the fact that I no longer have to worry or wait forever for a text that never comes. I’m happy and stronger than ever.
