Are we ready when AI hits us?

Have been talking to lot of friends using Claude and other advanced coding models. They are quite advanced from what it was even a few months ago.

The city landscape changed since the late 90’s because of the software industry. It took us by storm and we have rode one of the best possible waves for those born in the 80’s and 90’s.

With AI the underlying identify of software engineers are questioned. Sure AI won’t do everything but surely companies do not need as many people like what they needed earlier.

We are all seeing what the tech companies are doing in US. There is a layoff from big tech every week.

This will have huge implications imo in the coming years in India for sure as AI advances more and more and lesser and lesser human interventions are needed.
