Man, why the fuck do parents have this irrational obsession with having 'short' hair?

I used to look pretty decent with long hair, but my dad would incessantly ask me to cut it. Finally, taking the upcoming first day I have to go to school(even though i'm in a dummy school so the first day is essentially just a formality), he finally managed to get me to cut it. And it's fucking awful now. Like, god-awful levels of awful.

Asked my barber for a messy fringe cut and this dude highkenuinely just fucked my shit up(yeah ik it's a real r/fuckmyshitup moment). Finally, when I questioned him about the discrepancy in the reference photo and my actual hair, bro just nodded and said "bhaiya texture nhi hai tumhara". Arey, then what the fuck was the need to continue with the haircut when you'd already figured that out😭😭😭?

And after my hair got eviscerated, my dad changed his tune almost instantly 😭. Like, I've been enduring taunts for like 1/2 an hour straight. The worst thing is the sheer difference in my actual looks now. Like, i went from looking decent to your average gorilla😭. AHHHHH, FUCK THIS SHIT DUDE
