HS teachers can be a bit… odd?

This isn’t to say that all HS teachers are odd. I’ve come across some really great ones.

That said, it’s something I noticed while working with grade school kids in the past. I don’t know how else to explain it other than to say that it wasn’t uncommon to come across HS teachers who seemed to treat their students as actual peers. I also noticed that many of the teachers either ran their classrooms like tyrants OR inappropriately babified their students as if the students were 5th graders vs. soon-to-be adults. I don’t mean this as a generalization, but imho, a decent number of HS teachers display characteristics of personality disorders.

Idk. It’s just something that stood out to me back then and struck me as odd… especially since it seemed to be so much more common in HS vs. MS or ES.
