Railguns should be able to pierce through shields, including but especially the Bubble Shield.

The Railguns are in a weird spot in the game right now. They aren’t quite snipers, but they aren’t quite marksmen weapons either. They use the second rarest ammo type in the game (not counting the alien gun) and the Railguns themselves are also extremely rare and expensive…despite their power level.

While they do need some more love probably in general m, one small change that could help them see more action is a shield piercing capability. No other weapon to my knowledge has this functionality, so it would give them at least a unique niche to operate within.

The Bubble Shield (and by extension the Destroyer shield and UESC shields) could always use more counterplay besides just pure nerfs (which I’d rather not see) and making it rarer (make it purple, that’s fine by me).

Giving Railguns a little special niche like shield piercing just grants them a bit more flexibility that they absolutely need to stand out a bit more.
