Best Practices for Multiple Computers

So I got in the mood for some 40k Inquisitor again (in part after remembering how bad Cinemax's Inquisitor game was...). And I know it is very much at the point where the proverbial plug was already pulled and it is just a matter of time until folk remember that the coma patient is still taking up a bed.

But what are the best practices for wanting to be able to play on multiple computers/devices? Offline mode makes the most sense but it sounds like there is no steam cloud support For Reasons? I could probably use syncthing for that but I wouldn't be shocked to find out this does nonsense with encrypting the files based on the hardware (Hyperlight Drifter has entered the chat).

Anyone have thoughts? Would an online non-season character be "safe" or do we expect to find out those servers are getting shut down any minute now?
