3 months into HRT: Morning "waterfall" nose. Anyone else?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some insight from anyone who might have dealt with these issues after starting HRT. I’m currently 3 months in, using Estrogen gel in the morning and 200mg Progesterone. It’s been a total lifesaver for my joint pain so I’m definitely not looking to stop treatment, but for about 5 days now, I’ve been stuck in this exhausting cycle where my nose is a literal waterfall every single morning. It’s 100% clear, watery discharge—definitely not a cold or infection—and my eyes look constantly glassy and wet too. The strange thing is that as the day goes on, the "running" stops but my nose stays completely congested and stuffy until the next morning. Sometimes its running again inbetween.
I’m wondering if this could be some kind of histamine reaction triggered by the estrogen or maybe an issue with the progesterone dose? Has anyone else experienced this specific "wet morning vs. clogged day" thing? I’d love to hear if anyone managed to fix this by tweaking the timing of the gel or if this is just a long adjustment phase.
