Advice for transplanted tree

We transplanted a ~10 year old red maple in December and it appears to have survived the harsh winter. What can we do to encourage root growth and help it reestablish itself during the first spring and summer in the new location?

It was grown from a seedling, we gave it miracle grow pretty regularly but didn't do much else special and it has wound up being a very robust tree so far.
