Botswana PSA: Proper A/C is finally coming to mid-range Okavango camps (from Sept 2026)

Right now in the Okavango, if you’re looking for proper air conditioning, you’re basically pushed into the ultra top end - Mombo Camp, Xigera Safari Lodge, or Belmond Eagle Island Lodge. Incredible camps, but often looking at $10k+ per night.

From September 2026, that changes slightly. Machaba Safaris are adding proper A/C to:

•	Monachira Camp

•	Kiri Camp

•	Gomoti Plains Camp

These are epic camps and really good product. Not “budget” by any stretch, but in Botswana terms they sit more in that $2–3k per night range.

Will be particularly useful for shoulder months when heat becomes more of a factor.
