how to stop focusing on the results and how to meditate

Question

hello !! i posted this in the other subreddit but i’ll post here as well, so i wanted to come here and ask, how do i stop hyperfocusing on the process of shifting

whenever i attempt to shift, i’m always so caught up with the 3d and i feel like i’m just sitting there waiting for it to happen, i know i’m meant to focus on the result and not the process but it’s hard

i’m a logical person (as well as being assessed for adhd too which doesn’t help) so i always focus on the 3d, i don’t really use a method, i just lie down a daydream bcs i can’t ever focus properly for a method

it’s annoying bcs i have been so close to getting there and shifting but it’s this little thing that i’m just unsure of how to combat

(also any tips on how to meditate as a person who is being assessed for adhd would be appreciated bcs i hate doing breathing exercises and idk what else to do 😭)
