How smart are poms?

I know Pomeranians are perfect and can do no wrong. But putting aside the bias and favoritism, please share your experience in training your poms! I'm just curious about different people's experiences with how easy/difficult it was to train their poms. Also, I've heard and seen stories about dogs being able to communicate with their owners through body language, has that been the case with your poms? Some dogs pick up on things better than other dogs, how do poms compare on that part?
