Lottery at the wharf

Friend of mine won the housing lottery at the wharf, toured the apts, was approved and submitted for credit check by the wharf. But housing connect sent a message today saying her application is denied bc her asset income was counted and put towards her income, which put her over the limit.

Just wandering what the next steps should be. Any help would be appreciated!
