Can I wear a Keffiyeh as a white guy?

Not sure if this is dumb to ask. Planning a big hiking trip in Death Valley and wanted to wear an Arab head scarf. I am a white guy. Obviously, I support Palestine and what the Palestinian Keffiyeh represents. But I also think it would look really cool and wanted an opportunity to wear one in a desert climate. I know many people wear them solely for skin protection but frankly I just think I would look really dope, along with showing my support for Palestine. Thoughts?
