LRT Kelana Jaya VS Sri Petaling

Butthurt OP

This is a rant.

TLDR: Commentary on human behaviour. First time user of Sri Petaling Line. Feels the difference of people behaviours between the two lines. This is purely anecdotal and I may have superiority complex.

Is it just me or I feel like the people in general that use LRT Kelana Jaya and the people using Sri Petaling are different breeds?

I grew up only using Kelana Jaya line, but for this past month I’ve been using Sri Petaling Line for work.

I feel like the people using Sri Petaling line are very ghetto, the vibe is ghetto too, like new york subway in the 80’s with graffitis on the train walls.

Smells of piss, trash and people’s sweat almost daily. They also don’t know personal space like no gap at all while seating next to me, with the smell of their sweats and they play something loud from their phones. A lot of foreigners too for some reason (TBS I reckon) and people bringing big luggages, and unlike Kelana Jaya Line, they have women-only coach. I guess I can see why…

People using Kelana Jaya line is more civilised, I guess? Know a bit of personal space (except peak hour), look more presentable and not much extreme smell.

On another note, for the past 10 years I drove everywhere I go, but only use train this year due to location of new job. I realised that some people, no matter which train lines, don’t know how to queue at all. They be standing in the middle of the door and I am like “wtf bro!”, I’ve been standing at the side for the past 6min and when the train arrive, this fucker suddenly cut me off, went in while people from inside the train were still going out. But I also see that there are polis bantuan at every platforms I use now, did not see this when I was a kid using LRT.

That is all~
