Fleece/Plush Throw as Backing

I am a VERY new quilter. Realistically, am I going to be able to figure out how to use a plush throw as a quilt backing, or am I going to frustrate myself and ruin my quilt top? I am very into the cozy factor of a plush backing and I know you can get "The Big One" brand from Kohls very cheap with lots of fun patterns/colors. I am tempted...
