What seasons would you consider required viewing at this point (regarding those that are represented on 50)?

Regarding the players from the first 40 seasons:

I’d say that pretty much all of the seasons that are represented, are required viewing, save for 3 or 4.

Borneo, Australian Outback, and All-Stars for me are not required at all when it comes to 50 specifically. Even though they’re important to the show as a whole, you could absolutely skip them for 50 and be fine.

Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, is the only case where I have mixed feelings. For me it really just depends on how far Chrissy will make it here. But considering that she’s the only person to return from that season, I’d argue that you could skip it and be okay.

For the new era:

45 is arguably the most important season in that group at this point. The winner and one of the main characters of the season are both still in the game and have had pretty prominent edits.

I feel that most of the rest are all on fairly equal footing as required seasons, but I’d probably put 42 in a similar boat to HHH, where it just depends on how far Jonathan makes it.

I also wanna briefly touch on 46, who I feel is the least important preparation wise at this point, between the three trio player seasons of David vs. Goliath, 46, and 48.

At least Tiffany will be there for the merge/jury phase, but we barely saw any 46 interactions or mentions of each other, aside from Charlie and Tiffany simply starting on the same tribe. Which I’m not even sure they acknowledged their past relationship on screen at all? And that’s not to say that I’m happy about this at all, given that this is my favorite new era season.

Whereas with DvG and 48, the past relationships were talked about a lot on screen and we did at least get to see reunions; with the three DvG players being swapped together and Kamilla and Joe both making the merge.

47 is the only outlier here, that I feel you can absolutely skip and be fine. It doesn’t help that Genevieve was the only person to return so far, and that she went home fairly early. It’d be like skipping Thailand when watching past seasons in preparation for All-Stars.
