Im Catholic but can't connect to the mass

I am a Catholic and love being a Catholic. But the mass is just unbearable. I accidentally went to a Presbyterian church thinking its a Catholic mass, but it was the best service I ever attended. I actually learned! I actually felt connected to God. I even teared up. From the Catholic sermons I've been to, they only talk in like 5 minuet increments and its just reading straight from the bible. No sermon. The only sermons I've heard were the priests lecturing kids about tablet time instead of prayer time and then one priest spent 30 minuets advertising a different service. Like seriously?? I'm not here to be entertained but Im sick of just sitting there not connecting, not learning, not caring. Should I switch to protestenism? Can I attend protestent church and still be a Catholic? What's the difference? I wan't to be with God but these masses are just not it.
