I stopped asking if it's going to work. I started asking if I'm going to show up.
Six months ago I was obsessing over whether any of this would actually work.
One night I just got tired of asking. I replaced it with a different question. Everything shifted.
There comes a point where you just can't think about the outcome anymore only about the journey you're on and how to get better.
I stopped asking that question the night a real estate CEO gave me one simple piece of advice that changed my perspective.
At the time I was posting about confidence on Instagram but it wasn't leading me anywhere. I was following advice from other creators but nothing was working for me.
One night I asked him what should I do?
He said: what you're talking about is a struggle but behind it there's no real skill.
Instead try to become better at yourself and learn the basic skills copywriting or sales.
That phrase stuck with me. That same night I deleted every social media account I had.
I started focusing on how to become better and what skill to learn. I chose writing. But this time I didn't want to spend hours on YouTube I invested $300 in a writing course where I learned how to properly start.
Since then I've rephrased the question from "is this going to work" to "how do I become better at what I do."
Simply asking that question gave me a direction to follow every day. Something I actually enjoy doing.
And it all started with rephrasing one question.
How can you become better at what you do?
