Why do you think there hasn't been a remake of Most Wanted 2005?

Hi all,

I haven't actually played a lot of Need for Speed games for a long time, so I'm a bit out of touch with which ones are good and bad (people seem to like Hot Pursuit remastered though).

I just got a PS4 a couple months ago and then yesterday started wondering if there's any way to play Most Wanted on "newer" consoles (I know the PS4 is like 12 years old now but I missed that generation lol). Tbh I might just buy Burnout Paradise since that seems cool and fun and fast in similar ways.

It seems like my best legal way to play Most Wanted is to dig out the old GameCube. It's just surprising because I remember Most Wanted 2005 being a massive hit. On this subreddit and other forums it seems to be topping the list of people's favourite Need for Speed games, and it has a pretty unique style and identity from the other games in the series. It just seems so bizarre that they haven't remade or remastered the game in the past twenty years, you'd think it would make them decent money just from nostalgia and reputation even after having to renegotiate licensing for car brands and music.

Thanks! Have a nice day!
