What is D4s post game like? Better than D3s?

I yet to even play D4 but I will when the expansion and skill tree rework comes out.. I just hope it isn't as bad as D3s post game

I didn't make a seasonal character so I didn't get a full free 6 piece set to boost my damage by 20000% or whatever lmao (no I'm not going to start a new character) so I'm stuck wondering how I should go about upgrading my gear and obtaining the sets without the game just handing them to me. I really hope D4 is not like that

That game seems like everything I do is so meaningless.. Is D4s post game better?
