Need Help - Pain

My wife and I bought a mattress (tag in photo) from a Sit-N-Sleep when we moved around four years ago. We did some quick Internet searching, but not enough, and we spend too much time listening to the salesperson.

Anyway, we wound up with this hybrid mattress that was fine until it wasn't, and looking at the tag, it appears to have been made by the same "CB" brand that went out of business a couple of years ago. Within a couple of years, despite proper rotation. we had definite singling where my hips are. For reference, I'm not a huge dude. I'm 5'9" and about 160-165 pounds, and my wife is 5'2" and 125.

So it's time for a new mattress. My wife has always liked firm mattresses. Throw a one-inch cheapo foam pad on a rock-hard cheap coil mattress and she's in heaven. My issues are a little more complicated. Last year, I was having low back pain, and it turns out I have some minor bulging in my L4 and L5. Sitting at work is the worst, walking a lot helps a ton, and PT has been great, but I always feel terrible when I wake up in the morning, which is the opposite of how it should be.

On a couple of work trips lately, I realized I felt great. A big part was that I wasn't sitting down much, but I think I was also happy to not be sleeping in a dent. One was a generic mattress at some rando motel. The other was a Hampton Inn, where I know they actually sell the mattress online to guests who like it.

I also, despite my best efforts, always wind up sleeping on my stomach, despite the fact that it hurts my neck. I dunno if that's the mattress or just me.

Any suggestions for something that's good for low back pain and that won't turn into a dented noodle?

Thank you!
