Understanding My RR Loss

No hate I know I'm in silver rn-getting back into learning how to game again

But this game I lost 16rr and my raze I was queued with also lost 16rr. I team mvp'd, I got the little star for winning more fights vs their highest rank player, I had multiple 1 v x clutches, etc.

This was the second game I'd lost last night, but the two games before I'd gotten 30+ rr for two games in a row (had the extra rr notif for good performance).

Can someone explain a reason to warrant me losing the same amount of rr as someone higher ranked than me when I team mvpd?
