Is Lucario worth it if Clefairy is so prevalent?

I'm getting back into the game after a long hiatus and wanted to build Mega Lucario as people have told me he's extremely strong post rotation (and also he's my favorite Pokemon). However, I keep seeing conflicting opinions on his viability because everybody's running Lillie's Clefairy EX to deal with Pult, which collaterals Lucario.

Is Lucario a completely wrong deck to bring to an event because of Clefairy's prevalence? Or does it have ways to power through it reliably?
