Separated from my wife. Thinking of buying a house. Should I for divorce? UK

Separated from my wife of 20 years in January. We had rented for all of our marriage and the tenancy was in her name only, all bills and everything else was also in her name. The only thing in my name was the debts.

Since leaving I’ve paid off the majority of debt and am left with £1500 on a 0% credit card. Originally the plan was to rent somewhere close by so we can split childcare, but the state of the rental market at the moment means I’m up against at least 50-60 other applicants for every tenancy.

So I’m considering saving a deposit and buying a house, wondering if my wife would be able to claim anything against it when we get divorced?

Any advice would be appreciated.
