Google disapproved my YouTube video promo

I was trying to promote a recent podcast episode for a client of mine; the episode discusses geopolitics, Iran in particular. Because the video simply mentions Trump they disapproved the promo claiming it is Election advertising in the United States. Has anyone ever successfully appealed a promo that was disapproved?
