Uncontrolled acceleration when auto brake hold is enabled resulting in a jerking motion
2024 Toyota Crown Platinum, 24k miles. I was sitting at a light for about 10 secs with auto hold enabled, right foot relaxed. EV mode on. Cruise control was not enabled or even turned on. All of a sudden I feel a huge push. At first I thought I was rear ended. I quickly put my foot on the brake, looked at my rear view, it wasn't a rear end. The jerking continued. I looked down at my gauges very confused with what was happening and realized the car was malfunctioning. I hit the park button which stopped the jerking and then the power button to shut it off which cut the dash cam power. The video above shows the shaking. I have an interior camera which is more evident of the jerking and panicked wide eyed gaze but I'm not comfortable sharing it on the internet. I'll show it to the dealership employees though.
I was very panicked and confused plus I was first at the light people would start honking. I turned the car on, shaking and drove home about 2 miles away. I think that was negligent of me. I don't want uncontrolled acceleration with 340hp and 400ft.lb tq, I will for sure not be using auto hold anymore. I'm very suspicious of adaptive cruise etc now.
I haven't driven the car since I parked it. I only turned on the accessories power to pull the footage from the dashcam. What should I do next? Should I drive it to the dealership? Are they able to pull data and see what happened?
