is it wrong to yumeship with a character who is canonically a lesbian?

i am a bisexual man, my pronouns are he/him. i recently started liking Yae Sakura from Honkai Impact 3rd and she's canonically a lesbian and i don't exactly know how to go about this. for now, i've settled on oc x canon rather than myself x canon (of course, my oc is a woman; she's kinda just a genderbent me). i'm honestly just assuming it is but i need others' input on this
