Is the live action show really that good?

Bear in mind I have only watched the first episode of season 2, but the whole vibe of the show feels off. It feels like it’s made for kids and generally the direction of the show feels off. It has very stylized acting (in a bad way for me, except for Buggy) and the costumes look like costumes (no wear, doesn’t look worn), no bloody fight scenes, the color grading is bland and idk… I really want to like the show but for me it lacks clear direction and a cohesive universe that I believe in… The acting gives me Riverdale vibes.
