Hybrid Work - Has anyone taken this approach?
Hey all I got to thinking last night about a different approach to doing PE and I don’t think I’ve heard this before. Has anyone ever done interval-to-static stretches before?
For example - during length work having short bursts (say 90 seconds w 30 second rest between) for the first half of the workout, then static stretches for the rest? Or for pumping, 2 min intervals w 30 second rest between then move to 5 minutes with 2 minutes rest?
The idea here is similar to stretching a rubber band or a joint. The best way to make those things more elastic would be an “interval” approach, but to actually lengthen them permanently would be a static hold. So the idea is that the first half would cause the tissues to become more elastic, and the second half would “lock it in”.
Just wondering if anyone has tested this or has any opinions about it!
