America has a type of cuisine

Okay hear me out look past pretty much everything immigrants have made and I know that's a very big statement because a lot of what would be considered American come from immigrants but that is not what I'm talking about today.

I am talking about southern cuisine, made by slaves. Slavery is not immigration it is force.

Mac and cheese was invented by James Hemings, an enslaved chef by Thomas jefferson. There may have been some cultural inspirations here or there but it was invented by him.

Cornbread was made by native Americans, many tribes had different names for it.

Soul food originated from enslaved people. Although there may be European influences from other places. America does have a type of cuisine besides fast food and whatever else America is famous for.
