What are my options here…

Hi all,

I just received an MRI back from my left knee. I have a cartilage tear in my patellofemoral compartment of about 6mm to the bone. The reason for getting my MRI was due to a nagging sharp clicking sound every time I would squat down. Other than the tear, my meniscus is perfectly healthy and never had any other ligament issues in my knee. Doc told me to just never squat deep again, but I’m 32 and I’m just not accepting that. I’ve been in PT for 3 months now addressing glute, adductor and hamstring weakness on the left side.

Aside from PT, what are my options to return to squatting sometime in the future? OATS, or MACI have come up in what little research I have seen so far.
