Puppy getting neutered

I have a 5 month old Cavapoo, we have had him since Feb 18th.

He will getting neutered on April 17th. My question is what is all suggestions for recovery. Cone or no cone? I know there are different kinds of things on the market now instead of using the traditional cone.

What would you suggest or found worked well for you?
