Which ionizer system should I buy?

Hello,

Our family invested in a nice 18X33 above ground resin pool, and it’s to be professionally installed in a week or two.

My question is about ionizers. I want to invest in one, and the pool company is pushing this system for me to purchase with install, but it’s $500. We’re already spending a pretty penny, so I started investigating and there are floating solar ionizers for much cheaper.

My question: should I invest in an ionizer system for a chlorine, above ground, oval pool, and if so, do you have any wisdom or words of caution?
