For those working in big tech in Germany: how’s the mood?

Since the big layoff wave 2023 it seems that all companies have been going through a series of restructurings.

While laying off people is harder in Germany than other countries, I have heard that big tech does not care and tries to fire people anyway or even worse, goes into pushing them out through fake performance processes etc.

Are you in big tech and experiencing a shift? What do you hear from friends? If true, what are you doing to protect yourself/ what jobs are you looking into?
