Rear Main Seal Leak

hi All,

so I had posted about my 2014 Acccord previously and people had recommended a VTC solenoid o ring replacement. I unfortunately took it to the mechanic and found out that the rear main seal also has a leak that has begun developing. He did fix the VTC Solenoid. The quote for the rear main seal is $1500, which i think is good since dealer charging about $2800.

would like any and all thoughts about this, and whether it is worth to fix or look into purchasing a new vehicle. the car has 186K on it.
