Why do some people find nostalgia in April 2025?

In my opinion 2025 overall was not a really a great year, but some people on social media characterize 2025, specifically April 2025, as a “peak” month, primarily because of the Minecraft Movie, and the memes that arose from that.

However, there weren’t that many culturally significant trends that make April 2025 really stand out from the 2020s. It just seemed like a regular year similar to 2024. I really do not get the nostalgia some talk about.
