I had this scenario play out once before and would love to make it happen again…

Perhaps you are visiting from out of town, have wrapped up dinner with the ladies, or just finished a late shift downtown. Regardless, you find yourself sipping on a cocktail at a cozy and upscale Twin Cities hotel.

You lock eyes with a handsome and well-dressed gentleman who is sitting on the opposite side of the bar. A few minutes later, the bartender offers a free round on the stranger’s tab. You accept and with your permission, he adjusts to your side of the bar.

The stranger is down to earth and easy to talk to, and in no time at all, both of you are laughing, smiling, and comfortably engaged in a lovely conversation.

Another round and the banter picks up. At this point, the mutual attraction and energy is palpable. The flirting is subtle but intentional… a hand on the knee, a twirl of the hair, an unexpected compliment on your outfit… the dance is in full swing as you both process the enjoyable, albeit spontaneous connection.

And then he asks if you’d like a nightcap upstairs. The night is young, after all. The rest of the story, whether it ends with pleasant bar company or an elongated and passionate encounter, is completely up to you.
