I’ve noticed there’s a lot of discussion lately about John’s passivity, and I wanted to talk about it a bit.

We know that John has a sensory range that allows him to detect auras within a certain area. We don’t have exact information about its size, but it’s definitely less than the height of a four-story building. This is based on the fact that John chose to climb the building instead of trying to snipe Isen and Blyke from below.

That suggests his range is a دائرة (circular area) with a radius of less than 12 meters (roughly the height of a four-story building). Additionally, during his fight against Seraphina, he didn’t sense the auras of Arlo and Remi when Seraphina moved them, even though they were only a few meters away from him.

Because of that, I lean toward the idea that John’s range is actually a circle with a radius of about 7 to 9 meters.

As for why John had his ability activated while scouting on the rooftop in the latest chapter, I think it could be because his range increases when his ability is active due to aura flow through his body—possibly around 7 meters when inactive and 9 meters when active.

Or, more simply, he may have copied a scouting-type ability off-screen and is now using it.
