There’s this situation where a woman had a past relationship and after she broke up with him, she was the one who would occasionally reach out, not in any serious way, just casual interactions here and there, and then she would disappear again. Over time, even that stopped, and now there’s complete silence.

They don’t talk at all anymore. They are not friends but not enemies either, just no communication.

What stands out is that she still has his number saved.

I can understand keeping a contact if there’s some form of friendship or regular interaction but in a situation like this where there’s nothing at all, it makes me wonder why someone would still hold onto that line of contact.

It almost feels like if there was truly no intention of ever speaking again, that contact would have been removed by now.
