On Resting

To rest next to you,

with no requirements of justification.

To rest with the colours in and around me,

With thoughts and feelings flowing like music.

To rest just the way I'm,

Without the weight of who or what I should be

I wish someone had taught me this skill of resting,

Or is it  another forgotten  memory I need to remember?
