Since a lot of Senseis have caught up with Vol 6, I just wanted to remind everyone how fucking terrifying Arius mobs can be. Volume 3, Chapter 4, Episode 1 - Prologue, is in my opinion, the scariest Arius mobs have ever been.

We open up with these mobs having HOUNDED Arius Squad for 80 hours straight. 80 HOURS. Arius Squad has been fighting nonstop for 80 HOURS STRAIGHT since Eden Treaty, with these gas mask clad DEMONS on their trail the whole time.

When the Arius mobs finally corner Squad, everyone knows it’s all over for them. Hiyori is here praying to Jesus, Misaki is saying the Misaki-speak equivalent of “We are SO fucked.” and Saori is planning on going down swinging with a halo-destroying bomb. That’s when Atsuko surrenders. When Atsuko asks for one of the Arius mobs chasing them to swear to leave the rest of Squad alone, the mob doesn't even make the decision herself, she just defers to Beatrice.

This tells us one thing: these mobs can’t be reasoned with. They’ll just defer to Beatrice, and whatever Beatrice says goes. No amount of negotiation or pleading to humanity will stop them from putting Squad in the dirt if that’s what Beatrice wants.

Then B\*\*tr\*ce says her dumb title or whatever, she’s not the focus here…

Another Arius student gives Atsuko shit for not having her mask on. This tells us that these mobs and Squad are not even cordial, they don’t respect Squad in the SLIGHTEST, even though they’ve been colleagues for over a decade and were on the same side less than a week ago.

And finally, once Atsuko has been sent away, the Arius mobs ask and get permission from Beatrice to kill the rest of Squad, and they just open fire with absolutely 0 hesitation.

So class, what have we learned? That this particular batch of Arius mobs are relentless machines that won’t hesitate when given the order to kill, even if it’s in regards to previous long-term allies?

I’m sorry, but these Arius students and the ones we see in Vol6 are clearly NOT the same. Sensei can still fix them all though. (◠ڼ◠)
