Becoming a Warden?

our priest and both our wardens quit somewhat unexpectedly. the priest will be done at the end of May and both wardens are done basically as soon as possible. the priest has asked if I would step in as a Warden. Not sure if there's even a candidate for the second Warden position. Would I be making a huge mistake to accept?

context. it's been a difficult year. attendance has been going down. finances are tight, we don't really have the funds to hire a new full time priest, and there's some conflict and tension between some members of the elected vestry and the corporation (priest & two wardens).

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did it go?
