Patio Door advise please

How hard would it be for a mechanical person to take a good slider from a free patio door and adapt it to fix an installed patio door Or if the slider is gone, carefully replacing the broken pane on the good slider with the good pane from the donor door frame fixed side? Other than finding the right size glass of course. Installed slider has no inside glass pane.
