I thinking about the life I will have to live with these coming years
Currently in my junior year of college and studying business. It's already been terrible since my boomer parents forced me to go a private christian college as "christian values outweigh education" It's already been hard to find people and let alone find any jobs/internships. I didn't even want to go to college as I'm not even interested in business. I just find it so boring and I just don't care. Everyday I just feel stressed having to study to then get a degree with a chance to find a job. These stupid internships which my parents claim are "easy to get" but they are just hopeless. Not a single job wants to pay you and then denies you because "you weren't a good fit" And its like what do you want me to do? I would be working for free and having to commute, while also having business atire. And whats the end goal? just work for free and hope the company hires me? I couldn't be less thrilled to care. I'll proabably live at home forever since the rent and food is so high. I'm only having to get a high paying job because all the prices have just been jacked up. The job market isn't as good as it was 25 years ago and its so saturated. I miss my old supermarket job, it was so easy and I actually had time for myself. If I only I could get a simple job and be able to afford basic needs. But thats just my dream and my two cents on whats going on in america. And don't get me started on repubilcans not paying taxes or blaming everyone. And not my boomer parents who don't know what the world is anymore. My uncle in the 90s worked as a taxi driver and was able to feed a family with 6 and send 2 of the kids to college. Good luck finding an apartment thats not 3k+. Well I guess I"ll suck it up and see.
TLDR: I hate what my life will be and I don't want to live the life I'm living. If only i could skip college and work a basic job with time for myself.
