Ever made fun of by someone taller/younger?

This happened to me just a few weeks ago:

I’m 5’6 Male in my freshman year of college. My whole family is short so not surprising I’ve stopped at 5’6. My sister is in 8th grade & 5’3 (probably done growing & I hope so since she’s getting close to catching me lol)

I was home for break recently when my sister had 2 friends over from her school. I was grabbing a snack in the kitchen while they were in there. In our pantry the top shelf is really high but basically I’m just barely able to reach stuff on it if I fully extend my arm (maybe slightly go on my tip toes etc.). My sister & mom literally have to either use a small step stool or ask someone to grab stuff from this top shelf

Well I was grabbing something from this top shelf & it was taking me a few seconds since I was struggling to reach/grab it and then suddenly one of my sis’ 8th grade female friends says “I can help” and then easily grabs the snack & hands it to me…that’s when I realized this girl is towering over me. She realized it too & asked if I was in college (in a surprised tone). Not only am I short but I also look younger than I am so I guess she wasn’t expecting me to look like this

She asked how tall I am so told her and she says “awww only 5’6?! I’m 5’11 and I’m only 14”. Then my sis’s other friend says how she’s also 5’6 so of course she stands right beside me & we end up standing back to back. We were basically even but she ends up being a smidge taller than me which of course had all 3 girls giggling & asking me how it feels to be shorter than middle school girls

At this point Ive had enough & about to just leave before I make some rude remarks I regret later but then they end up saying they’re about to go outside. Before they do though the tallest girl as she’s walking by says “it was nice to meet you” and then pats me on the head while laughing like I’m her little brother or something

Not sure if anyone else has experienced something like that but that whole situation might be the most embarrassed I’ve been about being short. Literal kids taller than me & joking about it right in front of me
