Question re: ammo and supplies when going to rescue a certain someone?

It’s in the tags but don’t read this if you don’t want spoilers!

I’m at the part where the girl comes back, snatches Emily and Grace has to go rescue her by jumping into the basement area. Because I am terrible at this game, I’ve wasted a lot of ammo and healing defending the little room that Emily was in from the mutated zombies in the isolation section. Am I completely screwed going into the basement area with little to no supplies or will there be some down there?

I’m debating reloading a way earlier save to conserve ammo and healing but I won’t if it’s not necessary. I definitely could have been a lot sneakier going through the medical centre but that can be for another playthrough ;)

Thanks in advance for any kind and helpful advice you have. Also wouldn’t mind any tips and tricks for getting through the medical centre as Grace for next time that my dumb*ss missed the first time (for example I saw a video that showed luring the three zombies in the lounge out towards a hallway so they’re all lined up behind one another, and shooting through them all with one requiem bullet, like 🤯)
