Advice to stop triple feeding

Triple Feeding

My LO is 4.5 weeks old. She had a pretty significant tongue tie that made it so she wouldn’t latch. We used a nipple shield to feed, but she wasn’t transferring enough so we started triple feeding at every feed with bottle top offs being my breast milk (seems supply isn’t an issue). Her tongue tie was quickly released, but she still couldn’t latch.

Well, yesterday she suddenly started to latch. She’s better on one side than the other, but I bet we will get there. Her top off bottles were smaller when she latched and it doesn’t seem like she was still hungry after.

I want to decrease the amount I’m pumping, but still pump enough for my husband to give a bottle or two a day when I need help, mostly at night. I’m also going back to work in 8 weeks and she will be in daycare so it doesn’t make sense to completely stop pumping just to start back up again.

Anyone have any advice on how to handle this? I’m worried that she may still not transfer well and the smaller bottles will cause her to stop gaining weight (she fell off growth curve initially but is doing well). We see an LC next week, but just wanted to crowd source ideas.
