Hi all!

I thought that we would be moving soon but just decided to re-sign the lease so looks like I’ll be here a while longer! These bookshelves were always a temporary solution, but now I’d like to figure out how to really make this work. The dream would be to have a built in situation but I am a renter so I don’t know if that’s really an option. I was considering a Billy oxberg bookcase but wanted to ask this community first. A few things:

1. I already know many are going to hate the tv placement. I know it’s a crime! It’s not ideal but it’s what I could make work to make the most space usable. We are planning on getting a smaller tv, and I would consider placing it against the wall on the left hand side where the loveseat is, but the the other couch is against the wall across the fireplace so I’m not sure how to still keep that layout comfortable and functional without blocking my sunroom. I’m also concerned that would mean I lose a lot of potential storage space where the bookcases are currently.
2. I am open to big units or some open shelving or even an ikea hack! I would love to have some kind of storage cabinets for hidden storage. This is an old apartment with no closet space so that’s an eternal challenge.
3. The space on either side of the fireplace is 55.5 inches across.
4. Any other ideas to make the fireplace look nicer are welcome!

Thank you all for your help!!

What do I replace these bookcases with?
