First session down!
For anyone who's about to get started, here's what I learned:
Painful yes, not quite as bad as everyone makes it out to be, especially with breaks. I bought lidocaine but didn't end up using it, and was still fine. Granted my tattoo is relatively small, so it was over in less than 2 minutes. But it's on my collarbone so it wasn't easy breezy.
Pain goes away almost immediately after. It got a little more painful again about 30 min-an hour after, but I'd compare it to the afterwards feeling of getting the tattoo in the first place.
Just resting now and icing it, gonna try putting some cream on in a bit but honestly, I feel okay. I don't feel as "messy" as I usually feel after getting tats, with the ink and creams all over me and whatnot. I'd definitely compare it more to a burn or sunburn, just gonna forget about it and go about my day.
Feels great knowing I've started the process, and I know it's still early but I can definitely see some of the thinner lines breaking up already.
So begins the journey. Cheers yall 🥂
