\> Aki was 18-19 when he first me Himeno, and Himeno is few years older than according to Buddy Stories

\>David was 17 when the Edgerunners started, and Lucy was around 20.

First of all, it’s fine if you dislike Himeno for her actions with Denji. But I’m asking this to specifically those who don’t like her ship with Aki because of their age stuff.

Like I would see crazy number of English (+occasional Spanish, Portuguese) comments/[tweets](https://x.com/denrezeboom/status/1984036610800021674?s=46) that say Himeno knowing Aki since he was a minor is weird, and was a grooming b/c but I didn’t see such pseudo-moralistic discourses for the latter ship in 2022 except for larp posts.

Was genuinely confused when I first saw how much hate there was towards Akimeno in English comments, and found out that people really do believe Himeno groomed Aki (which I think was clearly NOT the intention of Fujimoto to portray their relationship as)

So please tell me. Are you different from the crowds the crowd that likes Lucy x David, and you don’t approve them as well?

I also think the cultural difference definitely plays a huge role on the Akimeno hate. So far, I have never seen a serious ‘Himeno groomed Aki’ from KR tl (my country), JP tl, CN tl, or Russian, Turkish, or Arabic comments.

The Western fandom seems to be more sensitive about ethics in fictions, and honestly find it weird when it comes to works like CSM. Like how are you sticking with this?

Genuine Question: To those who dislike Akimeno b/c of their age stuff or b/c you think she groomed him, do you dislike David x Lucy too for the same reason?
